To be successful in sewing, the first order of business is learning the basics of your sewing machine. This 2.5-hour class covers winding a bobbin, threading your machine, choosing the correct needles and fabrics, using presser feet and seam guides, and adjusting stitch length and thread tension. During the session, we will make a simple headband.
Please bring the following items to class:
- Sewing machine
- Scissors
- One package of assorted sharp needles
- One package of assorted ballpoint needles
Some students also find it helpful to bring a table lamp or Ottlite for additional lighting.
