Volunteer Legal Services' annual Basic Litigation Seminar equips attorneys with the tools needed to litigate a case in Travis County.

<h3><strong>VLS invites you to this year&#x27;s Basic Litigation Seminar on FRIDAY, APRIL 29, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. via Zoom.</strong></h3><p>VLS’s Basic Litigation Seminar aims to provide you with the skills and resources needed try a VLS general law case. This is a practical course emphasizing basic trial skills and Travis County trial court procedures.</p><h3><em>Use Your Trial Skills to Change Lives</em></h3><p>Each year, thousands of low-income Central Texans turn to VLS for legal help navigating the civil justice system. For many of them, VLS is their only resource. To ensure we can meet this need, VLS offers this seminar at no cost to attorneys who agree to take two general law pro bono<em> </em>cases through VLS during the 2022 calendar year.   </p><h3></h3><h3>Agenda</h3><blockquote><strong>9:00 a.m.     The Power of Pro Bono, </strong>Alisa De Luna, VLS Executive Director; Jonathan Buck, VLS General Law Staff Attorney (CLE credit: 10 minutes, all ethics)</blockquote><blockquote><strong>9:10 a.m.       Trial Preparation,</strong> Mike Slack, Slack Sanger (CLE credit: 50 minutes, including 20 minutes of ethics) </blockquote><blockquote><strong>10:00 a.m.	How to Survive the Travis County Central Docket System &amp; Live to Litigate Another Day,</strong> Warren Vavra, District Court Administrator (CLE credit: 1 hour, no ethics) </blockquote><blockquote><strong>11:00 a.m.       Break </strong></blockquote><blockquote><strong>11:10 a.m. 	Courtroom &amp; Trial Logistics, </strong>Eric A.
