Basic Life Support ( BLS)

Basic Life Support ( BLS)

Overview

Learn how to provide high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children, and infants, including the use of an AED.

Basic Life Support is a set of emergency procedures performed to support a patient's circulation and respiration during life-threatening situations, such as cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, or an obstructed airway, until advanced medical help arrives. BLS is primarily designed for healthcare professionals and first responders, but the skills are valuable for the general public as well.
