Basic Field Production

CMAP is a nonprofit community media center serving Gilroy, Hollister, and San Juan Bautista. Located in downtown Gilroy, we provide media training, film and podcast studio access, creative workshops, an art gallery, and community programming opportunities. We empower local creators of all ages to learn, produce, and share their stories.

CMAP TV Community Events

Basic Field Production Workshop: In this five-part series, gain an understanding of the technical and creative aspects of video production. First, dive into the fundamentals of film theory and practice. Then, learn how to set up audio and camera equipment for your video shoot. After you have your footage, we’ll teach you how to edit and make a compelling video. COST: $5 PER WORKSHOP ($25 TOTAL).
