Tom Porpiglia, LMHC, DCEP, EFT-ADV, EAS-C, is a Master Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Practitioner and will facilitate this session.

Emotional Freedom Technique or tapping is an evidence-based, stress reduction method that produces rapid relief from a wide range of symptoms including PTSD, anxiety, food cravings, pain, limiting beliefs and more. This technique has elements of exposure therapy, somatic therapy, and cognative based therapies and involves tapping on specific pressure points (acupoints) while the individual is focused on a distressing issue or topic. It is also a technique that can be self applied.

During this workshop, participants will learn the steps to applying this technique in therapy sessions or on themselves via didactic and experiential processes. Case histories will also be presented along with an overview of research. Participants are encouraged to bring a food item with them that they may be having challenges with.

Learning Objectives:

- Learn about EFT and the terminology

- Listen to case studies and research

- Experience applications of EFT

- Practice EFT with a partner

This training will be offered in person and online.
