Presented By: The Georgia Institute of Technology in conjunction with the International Economic Development Council and the Georgia Economic Developers Association.

Graduation from the Basic Economic Development Course (BEDC) fulfills one of the prerequisites for those who wish to pursue the Certified Economic Developer Designation (CEcD) through the International Economic Development Council. The BEDC is designed to provide an understanding of the basic concepts, theories, methods, and practice of economic development and will be taught by experienced economic development professionals.

Registration will begin at 7:00 am on Monday 8/26 and the course will end each day at 5:00 pm. The final day of the course on Thursday 8/29, graduation will wrap up at 1:00 pm after a catered buffet luncheon. To receive IEDC certification credit for this course and a certificate validating course completion, participants must attend the entire course and stay through the final session on the last day. Please make travel plans accordingly. If you have any scheduling conflicts, please notify the course director ahead of time.
