Empowering our community with toolsThe Cville Tool Library aims to be a collective and collaborative space for empowering our community with tools. It is a place where community members can borrow tools, similar to books at the library, for home repair, maintenance, and personal projects without having to buy and store tools they might only use a handful of times. We hope a shared tool collection will be an efficient way to broaden access to tools to a wide range of folks in Charlottesville and Albemarle. In the future, we hope to teach, train, and empower folks in making, repairing, and maintenance to build up responsible homeowners, aspiring entrepreneurs, and enthusiastic makers in our community.

Cville Tool Library

This hands-on workshop covers safe chainsaw operation, essential maintenance, and best practices for cutting limbs.

1740 Broadway St

Led by arborist Talbot Armstrong, this workshop will cover:<ul><li>Basic chainsaw safety awareness and knowledge about forces involved</li><li>Reading tension in fallen limbs and low branches and cutting them safely</li><li>Cleaning the chainsaw</li></ul>No previous experience required.
