Basic 40-Hour Mediation Training
This 40-hour basic mediation training provides participants with the skills, techniques, and information necessary to serve as mediators.
The Center for Dispute Resolution at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law (C-DRUM) presents this online Basic 40-Hour Mediation Training. Lead by nationally recognized trainers and practitioners, the training meets the requirements established by the Maryland Judiciary for court-designated mediators. The online training combines in class exercises, engaging lectures, and simulations with additional out-of-class activities. Participants will engage in multiple role-plays and receive individual feedback from experienced mediators. The training emphasizes the facilitative mediation framework and is appropriate for individuals from all professional backgrounds.
Dates and Times
We will meet May 18, 19, 20, 28 and 29 from 8:30am-4:30pm Eastern Time each day. Registrants will also need to complete some out-of-class activities. Registration is automatic for all 5 dates.
Certificate of Completion
Attendance and participation during the entire course is required to obtain the certificate of completion.
Accommodations

Requirements
Participants must participate via video conference through the Zoom video conferencing platform.
Refund Policy
Full refund up to 30 days prior to the start of the course. 75% refund thereafter.
