3D Printing Workshop

Learn. Make. Share.The worlds first business school based 3D printing lab at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Our mission is to provide students, faculty, and the entire Champaign-Urbana community with the knowledge and resources they need to be at the forefront of the emerging maker movement. Our lab caters to individuals from all different backgrounds - advanced designers well versed in Autodesk softwares all the way to 7 year olds who just learned what a 3D printer is. We offer workshops, private events, birthday parties, office retreats and much more!

Illinois MakerLab: 3D Printing Workshop 
This workshop is an introduction into the world of 3D printing. In this workshop our Gurus will provide a brief overview of the MakerLab and 3D printing. Different printing methodologies, as well as their benefits and limitations will also be covered during this session. This session will demonstrate how to operate a 3D printer and how to download, prepare, and print digital files from a digital library (Thingiverse). In addition, attendees will receive a brief demonstration about both 3D modeling and 3D scanning. One lucky participant in each class will have the opportunity to receive a free 3D portrait! 
By completing all 4 of our workshops, you are eligible for a Digital Maker Certificate issued by the UIUC College of Business, Illinois MakerLab! Payment: Each workshop session is $20 + eventbrite fees 
Refund Policy- Full refunds 30 days before the event. Less than 30 days but more than seven days before event , transfers to other events, if available. Less than seven days, no refunds.
