About this event

Join us for the 30th anniversary of BASH (Building A Superior Healthcare System), an annual gala hosted by the Prairie Lakes Healthcare Foundation. This special evening celebrates the generosity of donors and volunteers who support the advancement of healthcare services through Prairie Lakes Healthcare System. This year’s event, Champions of Cancer Care: Prevention, Detection, & Treatment will take place on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, at the Watertown Event Center.

BASH Cause

As we celebrate this milestone, we are reminded of the incredible impact made possible through the generosity of supporters like you.

Proceeds from BASH 2025 will support life-saving cancer initiatives in our community including prevention, early detection programs, cutting-edge treatments, and ongoing exceptional patient care. Together, we can make a lasting impact as "Champions of Cancer Care."

BASH Features

On May 3rd, BASH 2025 kicks off at 5:00 p.m. with a Social Hour and Silent Auction. Enjoy the thrill of the "Running of the Roses" with a live showing of the 2025 Kentucky Derby. The evening continues with a gourmet dinner, a live auction, and live entertainment featuring an acoustic set by "My Monday Regret" - the popular Watertown-based band that covers a wide variety of top hits from country, rock, and pop genres.

Please secure your reservation by Friday, April 4th.

Silent auction bidding will open Monday, April 28th on Galabid and close promptly at 7:00 p.m. on May 3rd.

Theme

A Kentucky Derby-themed event to be based on Southern elegance, horse racing excitement, and classic charm allowing guests to enjoy a touch of Southern hospitality while supporting a great cause.

The Kentucky Derby is known for its sophisticated and bold elegance - playful upscale fashion, with a focus on hats, and pastel colors. Suggested attire includes:


For Women:

  • Statement Hats or Fascinators – the bigger, the better!
  • Floral or Pastel Dresses – upscale tea-length dresses, or fitted styles in light fabrics.
  • Elegant Accessories – pearls, gloves, and stylish clutches.
  • Chic Footwear – wedges, heels, or stylish flats.


For Men:

  • Seersucker or Linen Suits – pastel or light-colored suits are classic.
  • Bowties & Pocket Squares – vibrant colors or playful prints.
  • Fedoras or Classic Derby Hats – a stylish finishing touch.
  • Dress Shoes or Loafers – polished yet comfortable.

The Prairie Lakes Healthcare Foundation exists to raise funds with which to support and advance healthcare services for those in our region through Prairie Lakes Healthcare System. Several funds exist within the Foundation  to receive donations:  Give Hope (Cancer Center), Give Help (Suzanne Jacobson Memorial Fund), Give Shelter (Caring Club House), Give Comfort (Hospice) and Give Tomrrows (General Fund). Gifts of all sizes are appreciated and may be accepted reflective of our mission.

Memorials and honorariums are greatly appreciated and will be applied to the area of interest specified by the donor. We welcome conversations regarding the Prairie Lakes Healthcare Foundation being listed as a beneifciary through a planned gift or estate plan.
