Sejak 2015, Global Coffee Platform (GCP) telah menjadi salah satu mitra utama SCOPI dalam mendukung pekerjaan SCOPI di Indonesia. GCP telah melakukan pengembangan Baseline Coffee Code - yang sebelumnya disebut Baseline Common Code. Baseline Coffee Code mengembangkan dasar untuk produksi kopi yang berkelanjutan, menguntungkan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani, dengan memperhatikan pelestarian alam.Baseline Coffee Code (BCC) adalah referensi umum tentang dasar-dasar keberlanjutan dalam dimensi ekonomi, sosial dan lingkungan untuk produksi kopi yang ramah lingkungan dan pengolahan utamanya di seluruh dunia. Hal ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman bersama tentang keberlanjutan bagi para pemangku kepentingan kopi di sektor publik, swasta, dan LSM, serta untuk mengukur dan memantau kemajuan peningkatan produksi kopi yang berkelanjutan dan konsumsinya.Salah satu upaya untuk menjadikan BCC sebagai referensi untuk sektor kopi, adalah dengan melibatkan sebanyak mungkin pemangku kepentingan dalam proses peninjauan, termasuk pemangku kepentingan di Indonesia.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Since 2015, The Global Coffee Platform has been one of SCOPI’s most strategic partners in supporting SCOPI’s work in Indonesia as the Indonesia Country Platform for GCP. GCP has been working on the development of the Baseline Coffee Code – previously the Baseline Common Code. The Baseline Coffee Code enhances the foundations for a sustainable, profitable coffee production and farmers’ prosperity, well-being and conservation of nature. The Baseline Coffee Code (BCC) is a sector wide reference on the foundations of sustainability in economic, social and environmental dimensions for green coffee production and primary processing worldwide. It contributes to a common understanding of sustainability for public and private coffee stakeholders and NGOs, as well as to an aligned measuring and monitoring progress towards increased sustainable production and consumption of coffee. One of the key steps to enable BCC as a sector wide reference, is to engage as many stakeholders as possible in the review process, including the Indonesian takeholders.
