Barnyard Egg Hunt

Queens County Farm Museum is the longest continually farmed site in New York State.The original property was farmed by the Adriance family beginning in 1697. Today, the farm serves as a vital resource connecting people to agriculture and the environment creating conversations about biodiversity, nutrition, health and wellness, climate change and preserving local history.The Queens County Farm Museum is a New York City Landmark, on the National Register of Historic Places and a member of the Historic House Trust of New York City. Queens Farm hosts a wide variety of acclaimed education programs, public events and adult education programs.

Bring your baskets to this celebrated event for kids! Egg hunts will be ongoing in the orchard throughout the event and Whiskers the Bunny will be hopping about, ready for photo-ops! Try your luck at traditional egg tossing and egg rolling games, visit our farm animals and take a hayride! Food vendors will be on the farm all day.
 
PLANNING YOUR VISIT:
Advance tickets required. Limited tickets available to the Barnyard Egg Hunt. Tickets must be purchased in advance on Eventbrite.com; they will NOT be sold on-site on day of event.
There is NO ATM on site. Cash only for food vendors, petting zoo, and pony rides. Please plan accordingly.
Pets are not allowed, for the safety of our farm animals and visitors. Service animals are permitted as described by the ADA.
Wheelchair accessibility is available for the Farm grounds and restrooms.
Strollers, backpacks and bottled water are allowed on our grounds.
No refunds/exchanges on event tickets. Tickets cannot be replaced or transferred.

When is the Barnyard Egg Hunt? Saturday, April 15th, 2017 11 am–3 pm
Is there an admission fee to enter your grounds? There is an entrance fee at the farm on days when we are hosting a public event, including the Barnyard Egg Hunt. Farm members receive free gate admission to this event. Memberships expiring March 31st, 2017 or prior are NOT entitled to free admission at April farm events unless membership has been renewed. To become a Farm Member, please call 718.347.3276 or email info@queensfarm.org. Student, Senior, & Individual Memberships receive 1 free ticket; Family Memberships receive up to 4 free tickets. Photo ID required for member check-in on day of event. Please note that the Queens County Farm Museum is not a participating institution of idNYC or Cool Culture.
How much are tickets? General Admission: $10.00 all ages (Children and Adults) Farm Members: Free - rules apply (see above) 
Can I purchase tickets on-site? No, you cannot purchase tickets on-site for the Barnyard Egg Hunt. Tickets MUST be purchased in advance on Eventbrite.com for this event. Please note that tickets are limited for this popular event; we recommend buying yours as soon as possible to ensure your attendance!
Is this ticket for 1-time use, or can I use it for multiple times through the egg hunt area? This ticket is for 1-time use only. 
What activities does my ticket include? Your ticket includes admission to the farm grounds, access to our egg hunt area, photo-ops with Whiskers the Bunny, bunny face painting, and traditional children's games and crafts. 
Additional fees apply: Seasonal petting zoo ($4), pony rides ($4), and food vendors (prices vary).
What age group is the Barnyard Egg Hunt appropriate for? The Barnyard Egg Hunt is recommended for ages 2–12. Egg hunts take place in two areas: one for ages 2–4 accompanied by an adult chaperone and another area for children ages 5–12 (unaccompanied).
How do I get to the Queens County Farm Museum? Visit <A HREF="http://queensfarm.org/hours-directions.html" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">http://queensfarm.org/hours-directions.html</A> for directions to the farm by car or public transportation.
Where can I park?  Free event parking is available for cars and buses in the parking lot just south of our main gate entrance. Enter on Little Neck Parkway at 74th Avenue. Bus passengers can be dropped off in parking lot.
Is there parking for bikes? We have a bike rack on-site through our main gate entrance.
Do you have a stroller/bag/coat check on-site? No, we do not have designated storage for strollers, bags, or coats. Please keep in mind when planning your visit. However, strollers are allowed to go into the egg hunt area.
Will there be an ATM machine on-site? No, there is no ATM machine on-site. To avoid waiting in line, it is best to bring cash for activity fees and food.
Will there be food on-site? Yes, you will find a variety of meal options during the Barnyard Egg Hunt.
How do I get my tickets once I have purchased them online? Once tickets have been purchased online, an email confirmation will be sent to you with a link to print your eTickets from your computer. You may bring the print out of your tickets OR you may also add them electronically to your iPhone passbook if you prefer.
I'd like to give my tickets as a gift/donation/etc. but they have my name on them. Can they be used by someone else?  If you'd like to have the name on the ticket changed or removed, please contact info@queensfarm.org and we can update the tickets on your behalf.
Who do I contact if I still have questions about tickets, prices, or the Barnyard Egg Hunt?  Please email info@queensfarm.org between Monday and Friday and someone will get back to you.
Will the Barnyard Egg Hunt occur if it's raining? Is this event rain or shine? Yes, the egg hunt is rain or shine. If rain is persistent, the pony rides and petting zoo may not be available.
I did not receive an email confirmation when I ordered my tickets, what should I do? Check your spam or gray mail folder, in case it was misdirected. If you are unable to find it, email info@queensfarm.org to have it resent. Please include the name and email address used to order the tickets.
I am not able to print my tickets. What should I do? Adobe has a site which reviews the common issues with printing .pdf files: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/873/cpsid_87346.html. In the article, you'll see the the best solution is to print as an image. If this article does not resolve the issue, please email us at info@queensfarm.org.
