Barkamor: Dog Friendly Yappy Hour by Jr's Paws For a Cause

Tickets are $15 and is a direct donation to the non-profit. Tickets include polkadog bakery treats, make your own puppacino bar and a welcome cocktail on the house from our featured charity menu. Dinner tables are first come first serve.

Newton’s Baramor is teaming up with Jr's Paws For a Cause to take outdoor dining to the next level by bringing back its fan-favorite dog-friendly charitable series. For a few nights of light-hearted outdoor fun, Newton’s charitable American restaurant, Baramor, will be transforming its outdoor patio space into the ‘Barkamor’ pop-up experience to raise money for Jr’s Paws for a Cause.

Featuring multiple rotating dog-related vendors, interactive activities such as pet portraits and ‘match-your-human’ contests, whiskey tasting from Michter's Distillery, and rotating dog-friendly food menu items with $3 donated to the non-profit partner, the Barkamor experience offers enticing pampering opportunities for all the “good boys” in our lives...and their owners as well. Don’t have a dog? Get the chance to adopt one at every Barkamor event! Each pop-up will feature a variety of rescue dogs looking for loving homes.

Some of the charitable dog menu specials may include the Dog Pizookie, a playful twist on Baramor’s human-focused dessert pizookie, featuring a pile of Milk-Bones topped with whipped cream, the Mutt Mojito for dogs to experience full-on vacation mode, with streamed and pureed zucchini, peas, and mint serves as ice cubes, and the Good Boy, a peanut butter and banana smoothie for your good boy to lick tirelessly. Baramor’s regular menu will be served alongside the dog specials for hungry pooch parents that also wish to indulge.

In addition to food items, we will be featuring Michter's Whiskey, Crop Vodka, Farmer's Gin, and Mezcal Los Siete Misterios in four different cocktails at every event, with $3 per cocktail purchased being donated directly to the cause.

“We have been seeing a lot of outdoor patio spaces being utilized across the Greater Boston Area recently, but not many of those spaces are dog-friendly. Here at Baramor, we are hoping that the Barkamor pop-up events will let locals know that their dogs are always welcomed & encouraged in our outdoor space! We think we could all use a little fun, and what better way to bring fun to the Newton community than letting our pooches tag along!” said Baramor Owner, Arpit Patel.

The Barkamor pop-up series will occur on select Wednesdays throughout spring and summer months, with the first pop-up happening on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024 from 5:30PM-8:30PM.

This pop-up event will be sponsored by Bond Vet, Pet Wants Newton & Polkadog Bakery and will include a treat catching contest, make your own puppacino bar and Mitcher's spirit tastings! Looking to adopt? Last Hope K9 will be on site with a few wonderful rescue dogs. And for all owners in need of a drink, Mitcher's will be on site as a sponsor, offering up free tastings and beverage industry knowledge. In addition our partner, Jr’s Paws for a Cause will be selling clothing, collars, leashes and other merch available for purchase.

While the Barkamor events hope to encourage dog appearances in outdoor venues, Baramor’s outdoor patio will remain dog-friendly all patio season long!
