The Athens Area Humane Society is a no-kill non-profit organization dedicated to lowering area euthanasia rates through adoption, spay/neuter and pet retention programs.

A FREE mini beer tasting at the awesome Live Wire events venue in downtown Athens. Expect 35+ craft beers to sample, live music on the Live Wire stage, and an informal dog show with awesome Terrapin prizes (mixed breeds are welcome to enter). The Athens Area Humane Society will be accepting donations at the event, and a $10 to $20 AAHS optional donation per person is suggested. You must reserve your spot(s) at this FREE mini-fest through this EventBrite site.
 
Please bring friendly, calm, well-socialized, leashed dogs only. Dogs and children must be attended at ALL TIMES.
 
Please designate a driver and don't drink and drive! You must be 21+ to sample the beers (bring photo ID), and children and dogs must be attended at all times. Bring folding chairs for you and a leash for your dog(s). Also bring along a water bowl and plastic bags to pick up after your pooch. Attendees take full responsibity for the safety of their dog(s) and children. The facility is mostly fenced in, but an off-leash, determined dog could find a way out to the sidewalk and street.
 
Free street parking is available in downtown Athens on Sunday, and there are also parking decks nearby. Also consider Uber or Lyft. The event will be mostly outside, so dress appropriately. AAHS will have bottled water for sale. After the event, enjoy dinner in lovely downtown Athens.
 
In case of thunderstorms, please check the Facebook page of BREWTOPIA EVENTS LLC before you head to the event. If the weather forces cancellation, we will post the announcement on Facebook asap.
