Welcome to the Barefoot Beach Boogie!

Come join us for a day of fun in the sun at Crescent Beach in beautiful Crescent City, CA. Get ready to kick off your shoes and dance the day away on the sandy shores.

Experience nature and boogie to some positive beats with a Park Ranger and people in the community of all ages and abilities. We will also practice the dance move we made up called the “Sand Dollar Shuffle” Everyone will be invited to move their bodies freely to the music at their own ability. Scarves, poi spinning, ribbon wands, hula hoops and other toys will be available to encourage movement.

Be inspired by bubbles, be silly, have fun, make new friends and learn something new! An Interpretive Park Ranger will teach us about some cool stuff when they aren't too busy dancing! Light refreshments will be provided to recharge your dancing energy.

Stay hydrated and join our fresh flavored water taste test! Rethink Your Drink activity with flavored water ideas for all palates (sweet, tangy, herbal, tropical) which includes smoothie bike for watermelon cooler. Participants can stop at the hydration station and take a ride through water flavors and vote on their favorite.

Let's boogie! Hope to see you there to kick off your shoes and Summer 2024. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just looking to groove to some tunes, this event is perfect for everyone. So grab your friends, pack a picnic, and get ready to boogie with us!

Redwood Parks Conservancy along with our park partners host multiple events each year. Events are focused to our mission statement "foster understanding, enjoyment and stewardship" of the public lands we serve. Tickets are sold for special events to help cover the event costs & setup with the goal of the proceeds going back to the Redwood National & State Parks to fund essential projects. We also host free events to bring the enjoyment of the parks to the public. These events are free but we will also except donations and support the parks through the proceeds.

Redwood Parks Conservancy along with Redwood National & State Parks enjoys having these events and sharing the relationship we all have through the parks and public lands.

We Thank You for your Support!
