Our nonprofit, A Seat at the Table Community Initiative, is offering this banned book discussion and activity "camp" for teens entering high school in the fall of 2024! We'll provide copies for each attendee of Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas, Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, and Magic Fish by Trung Le Nguyen, all materials, and a t-shirt to each attendee.
Reserve your spot by June 16 and pick up your books by June 22 to participate in this enriching, supportive group! We'll meet 3 Tuesdays in a row on July 9, 16, and 23, with a volunteer facilitator to discuss the book of the week, do art activities, connect with each other, and brainstorm how we can make a difference. By RSVPing, you are committing to read or at least thoroughly skim the books and to attend all 3 meetings.
