The Brooklyn-based indie-folk/Americana trio Bandits on the Run – and their alter-egos – met by chance while busking in the subways of New York City. The group, made up of Adrian Enscoe (“Roy Dodger”), Sydney Shepherd (“Bonanza Jellyfish”), and Regina Strayhorn (“Clarissa”) has gone on to receive accolades from NPR Music’s “All Songs Considered,” American Songwriter, Rolling Stone, Paste, Billboard, NPR’s “Weekend Edition,” and the Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project. The cello/guitar/accordion band – disguised as a whimsical crime ring – are known for their vivacious performance style, unexpected theatrical antics and toy instruments, soaring harmonies, and ability to make music-magic happen everywhere from a lonesome subway platform to a crowded concert hall.

The Momentum Series is made possible by the generous support of Joseph and Luann Conlon, in honor of Thom O'Neil.
