Balter: Break OUT • Break FREE • Break THROUGH is a Mental Health women empowerment dance and fitness gathering created to move the body, free the mind, and honor the resilience of survivors and thrivers. This event is a safe space of empowerment, and a stand in recognition of Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence Awareness and Mental Health Awareness.

Led by Zumba Instructor Celinda and Dance/Fitness Instructor Nakisha Smith of AlwayzFit4Lyfe, the movement sessions will encourage freedom, strength, and empowerment through dance and fitness. Licensed Social Worker Natasia McCormick of Josie’s Legacy Inc. will bring important insight on tending to our mental and emotional well-being, while poet Nathan P. will share words that uplift, affirm, and inspire.

Balter is about dancing without fear, letting go of what holds us back, and breaking through to healing and strength. It is a moment to celebrate life, build community, and move forward together.

Join us on Saturday, November 1st, 2025, from 2:30 to 4:30 at Fit4Dance Studio, 21 Snyder Avenue, Brooklyn.
