Complex Texts

About this Event

Description: When a text turns difficult many students simply abandon the reading. Productive struggle is part of the problem solving process and reading is problem solving. But what are the teacher moves that facilitate a powerful engagement with a text? What does a model of reading instruction that goes beyond teaching students a pile of strategies and leads to the application of knowledge that comes with comprehension look like?

Come to this webinar to explore ideas that can be adapted across content areas, support a variety of learning needs and make your virtual instruction more effective.
