Bakersfield International Music Festival

Festival takes place July 17 - 27, 2024
Welcoming students entering 7th grade or older and international students attending CSUB’s Intensive English Language program! This year’s festival is a ten-day chamber music program for students studying violin, viola, cello, double bass, and piano. It will take place at California State University, Bakersfield from July 17-27, 2024. Registration deadline for the festival is May 13, 2024.
CHAMBER MUSIC PROGRAM
The Music Festival is a half-day program (1-5pm) plus concerts in the evening. It will consist of coachings, rehearsals, master classes, concerts, and performances. Students will receive expert coaching on a daily basis with faculty members. Students will also participate in daily master classes in the afternoon. Performances in the evening will create culminating experiences.
The cost to attend is $699, plus a transaction fee ($48.72).
Late Registration: Local students wishing to participate may contact us to be placed on the waiting list. The tuition for late registration after May 13 will be $749, plus a transaction fee ($52.08).
Please note: Full refund before May 13, less a $100 cancellation fee. There will be no refunds of any kind after May 13, 2024. Transaction fees are non-refundable.
