The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is teaming up with local law enforcement agencies to host the fifth annual Badges and Bobbers fishing event at Little Montes Creek Reservoir in the Montes Creek Wildlife Management Area.
For this limited-registration event, Uintah Basin youth fish with local law enforcement officers, and kids can practice their angling skills in preparation for a summer of fun in Utah's outdoors!
What to expect
- Law enforcement officers from several different agencies will be on hand to assist participants with their fishing skills and to answer questions.
- Please register for a one-hour time slot to accommodate our officers' schedules and to ensure a great experience for everyone. Space is limited!
- Water, snacks and fishing gear will be provided by the DWR and partners.
- Bring sunscreen, a chair and be ready to catch some fish!
- Anglers may choose catch-and-release practices or keep the fish they catch (daily limits will be observed).
Please keep in mind
- Anglers must be 17 years old or younger to register.
- Anglers between the ages of 12 and 17 will need a valid Utah fishing or combination license to participate.
- All youth must have a parent or legal guardian present to participate in the event.
We ask that participants be courteous of the surrounding private properties near the reservoir and only park in designated areas.
