Hands-on and classroom demonstration of humane and food-safe poultry processing for small-scale production.
Whether you want to raise poultry on a small scale or just cull older backyard birds, this program will provide basic education on ethical, food-safe processing. The workshop will be taught in a mobile processing unit and scaled to backyard or small-scale poultry processing operations. The goal of this workshop is to provide participants with information and tools to harvest their own meat or understand the investments required for a small-scale poultry processing venture.
This is an educational meat-processing workshop that teaches ethical slaughter.
The event location will be emailed to registered participants. It will be in York, SC.
