Artportunity Knocks Co-hosts Back-2-School-Cobb Event with Cobb County
Sheriff’s Office
Atlanta, GA (May 3, 2024) – Artportunity Knocks, a nonprofit organization dedicated to
empowering youth through the arts, education, community service, and bridging cultures, is pleased
to announce its co-hosting role in the upcoming Back-to-School-Cobb event with the Cobb County
Sheriff’s Office. The event will take place on July 13, 2024, at Boots Ward Recreation Center -
4845 Dallas Highway, Powder Springs, GA 30127, from 10 am to 2 pm.
The Back-2-School-Cobb event aims to provide families and educators with a supportive and
festive atmosphere as they prepare for the upcoming school year. This year, the event features a
variety of activities and resources:
Toddler, Kids and Teen Zone - Offering a safe and fun space for children and teens to enjoy
games, arts and crafts, inflatables and interactive activities.
Parent Resources: Providing families with information on educational support, afterschool
programs, and community services.
Educator Resources: Providing educators with supplies (often purchased out of pocket) and
additional resources to maintain professional development.
Concessions: Attendees can enjoy a range of refreshments and snacks from the concession
stands.
Volunteer Opportunities
Artportunity Knocks invites corporations, community organizations and individual volunteers to
join the event by becoming a volunteer. Various shifts and roles are available, including Kids Zone
monitors, face painters, concession attendants, and activity facilitators. Visit our page on
