The Chazen Museum of Art works to collect, preserve, interpret, and exhibit works of art and present related educational programs in support of the teaching, research, and public service mission of theUniversity of Wisconsin–Madison.We do this because the visual arts enrich individual human experience and because knowledge of art is essential to understanding diverse cultures, past and present.

Welcome UW-Madison Students! Kick off the school year with FREE art activities, snacks, and exploration at the Chazen Museum of Art.

Swing by for tote bag decorating, art-themed games and puzzles, a scavenger hunt through the galleries, tasty snacks, and a chance to win fun prizes including a Chazen Café gift card. This free event is made possible by the Jeannette K. Goldenson Student Program series and is a great way to get to know your campus art museum. We can’t wait to see you there! Activities and giveaways are available while supplies last. RSVPs are encouraged but not required. Food and drinks are also available for purchase at the Chazen Café.Back to School Bash at the Chazen is generously supported by the Jeannette K. Goldenson Student Program series, which seeks to expand student opportunities at the Chazen.

Frequently Asked Questions:Where should I park?There are several parking garages within a few blocks of the museum. Limited accessible parking stalls are located in front of the building.
