About this event

Safe Sitter® babysitting training prepares students in grades 6-8 on how to provide the best and safest care for young children. Students will learn the ages and stages of child development, diapering, staying in control of themselves and the children they watch, as well as many safety skills. The lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises like how to prevent unsafe situations, how to respond to someone who's choking, and helpful information like what to do if there is severe weather.

Students even get to use CPR manikins to practice choking rescue and CPR!
