BABS Productions Present: Joker, Bukez Finezt, GrayMatter & More

Fresh on the heels of his first release in nearly 6 years, we are ecstatic to be able to bring Joker to the Bay. The Bristol-based artist - real name Liam Sylvester McLean - is known as a genre innovator, pioneering what he called “Purple Music” after putting an indelible mark on the Grime and Dubstep spheres. Simply put, Joker is a legend. From co-producing and releasing Rustie’s first EP(often hailed as the founder of Future Bass), to featuring on Skrillex’s Grammy Winning album this past year, Joker’s musical career has been celebrated across the world these past two decades. We cannot wait to hear what he has in store for us.

We wanted to pair Joker up with another heavyweight that can bring a wholly separate and unique sound. We managed to sneak Bukez Finezt out to join us and Joker the night before they both perform at Red Rocks Amphitheater. With a passion for all things bass-heavy and forward thinking, he has made a name for himself in the global music scene with his unique blend of styles as a producer and DJ. Inspired by the experimental soundscapes of the bassmusic realm, Bukez has always pushed the boundaries of what's possible in the world of electronic music.

To round out the night, we set out to bring an artist sure to be on many rising artist lists, and are bringing out GrayMatter from Denver. In today's evolving landscape of electronic music, GrayMatter stands as a sonic alchemist, pushing the boundaries of sound design and helping to redefine experimental bass music. Born out of a fervent desire to explore uncharted acoustic territories, GrayMatter crafts a unique auditory experience that transcends the conventional confines of electronic music. Drawing inspiration from the cosmos, nature, and the vast expanse of the human experience, GrayMatter weaves intricate tapestries of sound that are both cerebral and visceral.

Shireen Deo, also known by her DJ moniker 'original sadboi selecta,' is one of the founding members of BABS Productions; with a sound that blends the depths of 140 dubstep with the raw emotion of emo, and post-hardcore, she has quickly become a treasured member of the Bay Area scene. Shireen's musical roots can be traced back to her teenage years growing up in the Bay Area, where she immersed herself in the city's vibrant punk and hardcore scenes. After discovering the world of dubstep, and falling in love with its dark, cavernous soundscapes, Shireen began experimenting with blending the two genres, giving birth to her signature 'sadboi' sound. Her sets are a seamless fusion of gut-punching basslines, melancholic melodies, creating an atmosphere that resonates with a diverse crowd of music lovers.
