Inaugural Symphonic Concert
The grand debut of Edmonton’s newest orchestra, the Capital City Symphony Orchestra. This special performance highlights an all-Beethoven program, featuring Symphony No. 2, Op. 36 and Piano Concerto No. 4, Op. 58 under the baton of maestro Vítor Matos with Ângelo Martingo on piano.
Vítor Hugo Ferreira de Matos is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Music Department at the University of Minho, as well as the Chief Conductor of the Orquestra de Guimarães.
Ângelo Miguel Quaresma Gomes Martingo is an Associate Professor at the University of Minho, where he teaches Piano and Performance Studies Research.
