B-Side is an Austin-based jazz project led by educator, curator, and drummer Kevin Witt, built for listening rooms where the music—and the story behind it—can be fully explored. This performance moves beyond familiar standards into the “second side” of jazz: deeper cuts, unexpected interpretations, and the stories, history, and context not always in the forefront, but shaping the music. Drawing from artists like Monk, Coltrane, Miles, and Shorter, the band blends classic jazz language with modern groove and dynamic interplay. Each set is shaped as a narrative—balancing swing, soul, and space—designed not just to be heard, but experienced.
