The Aztec Highland Games and Celtic Festival is the Four Corners region's premier event celebrating Celtic culture through traditional athletic competitions, music and dance performances, clan representation, and food and merchandise vendors.
Athletic events include the Sheaf Toss, Weight for Height (or Weight over Bar), Braemar Stone (or Stone Put), Light and Heavy Scottish Hammer Throw, Light and Heavy Weight for Distance (or Weight Throw), and Caber Toss. Experience the grace of the Highland Dancers, be enchanted by the unique and varied sounds of Celtic music, learn of the majesty and history of the Clans, put a shiver down your spine as you listen to Pipe Bands, and watch the Kiddies in the Kids games while you peruse the vendors and edible treats. Immerse yourself in the mystery, folklore and heritage of the Scottish Highlands preserved and kept alive in Aztec, New Mexico!
