Hello beautiful people!
The future of Portland’s central city is being shaped, and we need you in the room.
On Tuesday, May 6th, the Portland Public Schools Board will vote on the minimum criteria for relocating the Prophet Education Center (PEC).
So, why is this important? The establishment of the minimum criteria is a critical milestone. It equips PPS with a clear framework to evaluate, solicit, and identify potential locations for a new administrative and operational headquarters; one that aligns with our shared values and future vision.
For over a year, Albina Vision Trust and PPS have been working behind the scenes to make this moment possible. Now, it's time to mobilize, speak up, and stand together. Your presence helps push forward the community's vision: one where Black, working-class, and displaced Portlanders are re-rooted in the city they’ve always called home.
As we build momentum, we must continue to show up, fight for the future of Portlanders, and help right historic wrongs by laying the groundwork for a community-led future. This is a time for us to come together, make our voices heard, and show what collective power really looks like.
Let’s pack the room with intention and impact, and bring the energy.
We can’t wait to see y’all on Tuesday!
In Love & Power,
The AVT Team
