AVP Training for Facilitators (Level 3 Workshop)

Become an AVP facilitator and learn how to lead peacemaking workshops in your community!

In this fun, interactive workshop, you will learn the techniques for teaching peace. Working in teams, you will practice leading conflict resolution exercises and develop the skills of joyful community building.

This 3-day workshop will lead to your certification as an AVP facilitator-in-training.

To be eligible for this training, you need to have already completed both AVP Basic and Advanced Workshops. This workshop is also for AVP facilitators who would like to refresh their training.

When: June 26, 27 and 28, 2026 (Because the activities build on each other, you need to attend all 3 days and all sessions to receive a certificate.)

• Friday, June 26: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

• Saturday, June 27: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

• Sunday, June 28: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Where: Neptune City Community Center, 117 Third Ave., Neptune City, NJ 07753 (Free parking in the lot)

Who: Program facilitators have been trained by the Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP). They lead workshops at community groups and prisons in New Jersey.

How much: The program is funded by donations, so please pay as you are able. No one is turned away - any dollar amount from $1 up will reserve you a seat. A donation of $75 or more will cover all materials, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and snacks, as well as scholarships for others whose ability to pay is limited. If you can contribute more to support other attendees, we would welcome it.
