Peach Pollen is excited to bring zero-waste herbal tea parties to Austin Creative Reuse! Attendees can sip our delicious herbal tea while participating in an eco-conscious craft. We hope each party ignites a passion for repurposing and reusing natural materials.
During this Craft & Herbal Tea Party, attendees will learn how to carve dried avocado seed slices into buttons! Suggested Age is +11 Years old. Some seeds can be sanded down with minimal carving, however fine motor skills will be needed to carve bits of the seed into an oval shape properly. This event will include:
- Herbal Tea & Education- Dig deep into one of the twelve amazing herbs that make up our herbal tea blends. Through interactive sessions, residents will explore the herb's taste, aroma, and wonderful benefits for both human health and the environment.
- Avocado Seed Buttons- We'll guide you through a fun and eco-friendly craft activity designed to inspire attendees to reduce waste and rediscover the joy of repurposing. Get ready to transform everyday discards into beautiful, thoughtful creations!
- Soil Health vs. Dirt Intro- Did you know healthy soil is essential for growing the vibrant herbs in our tea blends? At each tea party, we'll embark on a fun mini-lesson exploring the fascinating world of soil health and how it impacts the quality of our tea ingredients. Join us and discover the hidden connection between healthy soil and a delicious cup of tea!
- Benefits of Composting- Learn about composting basics, local services, and have all your composting questions answered at our tea parties.
Tickets include both the craft activity and herbal tea refreshments provided during the event. On Peach Pollen's website and Instagram, you can find detailed lists of ingredients in each of our herbal tea blends.
Sustainability Fairies and Warriors, Bring Your Own Cups!
This workshop is appropriate for ages 11+ only. Minors do not have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the workshop. Adults must come inside to drop their minor off with the workshop instructor. Drop off begins 10 minutes before the scheduled start time, and everyone must be picked up at the scheduled end of the workshop.
