Talk about Dinner AND a Movie!!! 🎥
In this class we will be stirring up a cinematic feast inspired by some of my favorite Marvel® movies.
Chicken Shawarma- The Avengers (2012)
During the final battle of New York in The Avengers (2012) Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) spots a shawarma spot and mentions it to the other members of his team. What could have just been a throwaway line comes back in the credits, in a brief scene which shows the Avengers sat in the restaurant eating shawarma together.
Chicken Paprikash-Captain America (2016)
Vision’s Cooking Attempt in Captain America-Civil War (2016). After the Vision and Wanda’s initial meeting in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War shows Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) bonding with the Vision (Paul Bettany) as he tries to make paprikash for her. Unfortunately, it's not a successful attempt.
BYOB Slider Station-Iron Man (All-American Cheeseburger)
In the film, after Tony Stark (portrayed by Robert Downey Jr.) escapes imprisonment, he demands a cheeseburger before speaking to the press about his experience.
Blueberry Crisp-The Avengers (2012)
Coming from a notoriously improvised scene, Tony's offering of blueberries to both Bruce and Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) in the lab aboard the helicarrier during The Avengers stands out as a moment that really emphasizes Tony's character. Not only does this serve to show the earliest stages of his contrasting relationships with Steve and Bruce, but it also demonstrates Tony's unique approach to high-pressure situations, namely in the way that he makes himself at home in a new environment.
