Frequently asked questions

Are e-bikes allowed

Sorry - ebikes are not permitted at DTE

What if weather hits?

DTE drains very well, but we'll only ride if the weather is good. If it's iffy - all updates will come via Eventbrite emails, so be sure you're registered for the event.

If I'm running late can I catch the group?

You're in luck. Since the ride is on a Tuesday (CCW direction), The Green Loop shortcut will allow you to cut out 20 min of both groups and catch up. Ride straight at the trailhead. On this link it's labeled "Emergency Access" https://www.potomba.org/trails/waterloo/

How fast is the faster group going

Last year, the faster group consisted mostly of riders who ride 3-5 times a week and have no issue riding a couple of hours of singletrack without stopping at a B-pace. If that sounds like you, it's your group.

What can I bring?

bring some "pops" for the parking lot ?

I'm flying in - can I rent a bike?

Yes! We recommend working with Wheels In Motion Bike Shop in Ann Arbor. XC hardtail, or 100mm full suspension recommended. Going with anything bigger than 120mm is a little too big :)

Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely?
