Join us for our free event on Friday 10th April, at Westoe Crown Community Hub, South Shields, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.


Who is AutismAble?

AutismAble is a service for neurodivergent people, specialising in:

  • Autism
  • Learning disabilities
  • Additional needs

We work with our members to support them to achieve their ambitions. Whether someone requires 1:1 support, navigates life independently, or falls somewhere in between, our mission remains the same - to enable, empower and enrich.


Who is this event for?

  • Individuals who are interested in joining AutismAble.
  • Parents and carers who want to learn more about AutismAble as a post-education option or to support their adult.
  • Professionals wishing to learn more about our services for sign-posting or general interest.
  • Anyone curious about what we do!


What to expect:

  • 10:00 am: Arrival with tea, coffee and cake served by our group members.
  • 10:30 am: Welcome introduction from Sarah Farrell, our CEO.
  • 10:45 am: Presentation by Sarah Farrell, Amari Smith (Service Manager), and Sarah Windle (Youth and Outreach Manager). Topics include everything from the different pathways and programmes we offer to who can attend, our new Youth Hub, Sunderland provision, admissions and referrals, funding and more!
  • 11:30 am: Talk from Louise Bagshaw, our Chair of the Board and an AutismAble parent carer.
  • 11:45 am: Q&A session.
  • 12:00 pm: Opportunity to tour our building and get to know our team.
