Are you a parent looking for guidance, support, or just a listening ear on your journey with autism? Join us for a casual meetup where you can connect with other parents facing similar experiences. Share stories, ask questions, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee with understanding company.

Our goal is to create a safe and welcoming space for parents of children with autism to come together, build a community, and offer each other support and encouragement. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or new to this world, all are welcome!

Can children attend the support meetings?

This event is focused on building relationships and open discussion between parents. If you are unable to attend due to childcare, please let Anna know so she can try to accommodate. We do also host a monthly playdate for kiddos.

What age ranges are discussed during the meetings?

We discuss everything from birth to 18 years old.

What topics are typically covered in the meetings?

Our meetings cover a wide range of topics relevant to parenting children with autism. Some of the key areas we focus on include: Supports, County Assistance, Schools, Therapy, Challenges, Community Resources, Legal and Advocacy, Health/Wellness and Future Planning.

Are there any guest speakers or specialists invited to the meetings?

We do occasionally have speakers. The event will be updated when a speaker is joining

Are the meetings in-person, virtual, or a combination of both?

The meetings are in person.

Is there a way to suggest topics or questions for future meetings?

Yes, topics are welcome. Please email Anna with your suggestions.

What kind of support or follow-up is available after the meetings?

Is food provided?

There are some light pastries and coffee available. Feel free to bring any snacks.

Anna Elder is a mother to two boys, including a toddler with autism and developmental delays. She understands the unique challenges and joys this journey brings. This personal experience has not only enriched her empathy but also inspired her to help other parents navigate the complexities of autism. Anna actively leads a Facebook group for the Twin Cities area, focusing on building community through organized meet-ups and playdates. Her goal is to support families by creating a network where they can share experiences and insights in a supportive environment. In her real estate career, Anna specializes in helping families, especially those with children on the spectrum, find homes in Minnesota that suit their specific needs.
