About Deborah Clearman

Deborah Clearman was born in North Carolina and grew up on a farm in Southern Maryland. She is the author of two novels, Remedios and Todos Santos; a collection of short fiction, Concepción and the Baby Brokers and Other Stories Out of Guatemala; and The Goose’s Tale, a children’s book she wrote and illustrated. Her short stories have appeared in numerous literary journals. A visual artist for much of her career, her paintings and prints have been widely exhibited in galleries and museums. She is the former Program Director for NY Writers Coalition, a nonprofit organization that gives voice to unheard members of society through the art of writing. She lives in New York City.

About Connie Kinsey

Connie Kinsey is a former military brat who has put down deep roots in a converted barn on a dirt road at the top of a hill in West Virginia. She is pursuing happiness, one cup of coffee at a time. Her award-winning writing has been published online and in print.

She is also a spoken word artist and the Writer-in-Residence for the Museum of the American Military Family. Connie has blogged at wvfurandroot.com since 2008.
