About this event

Join us for an interview with local author David Palin, the mastermind behind a series of dark psychological thrillers. David will share his approach to writing novels and the inspirations behind his gripping stories. Fascinated by what lurks in the shadows—often hidden in plain sight—David believes we’re naturally drawn to darker tales and the mysteries they hold. When he’s not writing, he leads creative writing workshops to help inspire creativity in others.

His latest novel, Your Call..., follows DCI Ben Logan—a detective living with prosopagnosia (the inability to recognize faces)—as he investigates a murder and a potential scandal. It’s a taut prequel to This Changed Everything and The Armistice Killer in the DCI Ben Logan series.

David also released recently The Wife Before Last, a gripping story about three ex-Stasi operatives who flee Berlin after the fall of the Wall and rebuild their lives in the UK underworld. One of them crafts a sinister double life, preying on wealthy, vulnerable women online for financial gain—putting his own life in danger in the process.

Come and delve into David’s dark imagination at this fascinating event. Audience questions are warmly encouraged both during and after the interview!

Free (50p donation for refreshments)
