Join The Book & Cover's Emily Lilley and Jewel Thongnopnua in conversation with our guest, New York Times bestselling poet and essayist Aimee Nezhukumatathil, around her beautiful new illustrated collection of essays about food and memory, Bite by Bite: Nourishments and Jamborees.
The evening will include discussion with Nezhukumatathil, who will also read from and sign the new book, as well as tasty sips and bites featured in the essay collection, including lychee martinis designed by our neighbors at Rosecomb Bar, traditional Filipino Lumpia, and mango sticky rice.
Aimee Nezhukumatathil is the author of the New York Times bestselling illustrated collection of nature essays World of Wonders, chosen as Barnes & Noble’s Book of the Year and as a finalist for the Kirkus Prize. She has published four award-winning poetry collections and is the poetry editor for Sierra magazine, the storytelling branch of the Sierra Club. She lives in Oxford, Mississippi, with her family and is a professor of English and creative writing in the University of Mississippi’s MFA program.
