Austin Coming Together

Over 400 individuals committed to brainstorming and research, conversations and outreach, hard work and growing relationships. That’s what it took to create Austin’s FIRST EVER Quality-of-Life Plan (QLP), a vision for a neighborhood renaissance.
We hope you’ll join us to celebrate the launch of the 5-year plan at a Community Summit on Saturday, December 15, 2018. The morning will include refreshments, a live performance from the Austin neighborhood Children's Choir, and a FIRST LOOK at the QLP's comprehensive strategies to move Austin forward, together.
In partnership with the economic development organization Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), as well as Austin Coming Together (ACT), the 20-person steering committee gathered engaged residents, community leaders and businesses dedicated to creating a beautiful future for Austin. Discussions identified seven issue areas that the QLP will address through 23 strategies and 80+ actions: Community Narrative, Economic Development, Education, Housing, Public Safety, Youth Empowerment, and Civic Engagement.
