Austin Family Reunion

Welcome to the Austin Family Reunion!

Come join us for a day filled with laughter, memories, and fun at 1403 Sycamore Rd. This in-person event is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with relatives, meet new family members, and create lasting bonds.

Let’s all pull together and make this reunion happen. We all know this

cannot happen without a cost, and we can’t expect one person make it

happen alone. If we all pitch in with a donation to help cover the cost of

what’s needed we can have a reunion to remember. With that said, the

committee is asking

Households of 1: $25.00

Households of 2 or more: $50.00

(this does not apply to families traveling from out of state)

Right now, I know many of you are asking “What? Pay for a

reunion, and what is my money going to be used for?”

Well, it will be used to supply the:

 The ribs, hot dogs, brats, and hamburgers

 Hot dog buns, hamburger buns and condiments

 Napkins, table clothes, cups, plates, and utensils

 Charcoal, lighter fluid

 Side dishes

 Water, soda, juice, and ice

 Desserts, cookies and cake

 Supplies for games

Our hopes are that we will get enough donations to make this happen.

The intent of the donation is not to cause hardship on anyone if they

can’t manage it. We still want you at the reunion.

Now before we get too excited and we want to manage everyone’s

expectations we need those RSVP’s and Donations by April 30, 2024.

We (the Planning Committee) are requesting that all of our Illinois

family please help host this event, and help to make our family from

New Orleans and Tennessee feel welcome. So, let’s show them a good

time!!

We would like to continue the tradition Grandma (Agnes Austin) started so long ago.

Let’s have some fun in the park! If you have lawn chairs, please bring them!!

While we will have food, please feel free to being more if you like. If you are

brining food, please make sure it is prepared beforehand. We will be in a

public park, so there will be limited grills available.

Activities:

 It has a swimming pools (if anyone wants to swim for a cost of $8.00)

 Large playground for the kids

 Picnic tables

 Park activities for the holiday

 Fireworks at dusk

Friday Fish Fry July 5th

Debbie will be hosting a fish fry at O’Connell’s RV Campground

(Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park), the following Friday. All you need to

bring is your swim suit and fishing rod! This fish fry is in honor of

Patricia Eubanks, who’s birthday would have been on July 5 th .

O’Connell’s Campground was Patricia's favorite place, so this is a way of

remembering her ! The fish fry will being at 1:00 pm.

Please note that the camp ground is 20-30 minutes from the park we

will be at on July 4 th . O’Connell’s does have rental cabins, if anyone is

interested in staying there. If so, please contact them as soon as possible,

to make reservations.
