About this event

Our Storyteller Tickets are sold out, but we have plenty of room in the audience. Join us for stories about wrapping it up, taking the next step, or a fresh start. New job, new partner, new home, new outlook on life. Regular to decaf, gas to electric, cat to dog, college to whatever came next. Stories about "Transitions." Not ready to tell? Join us in the audience, vote for your top two stories, and help decide who will win our coveted trophy mug and a spot in our annual StellarSlam. Want to be in the Zoom room with the tellers and producers and hang out for the after-party? Choose the Backstage ticket option. You will also receive the YouTube link to watch it afterward.

The show will stream live on YouTube, and the link will allow you to watch it anytime afterward if you can't watch it live or are running late.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to connect with a vibrant community of storytellers and listeners from across the country. Grab your favorite snack and settle in on the sofa.

If you are struggling financially, please contact us at sfapshows@gmail.com, and we'll ensure you get a seat for the show. Thank you.

    Frequently asked questions

How long should my story be?

Please aim for your story to be around 5 minutes in length. A timer will appear at the 5 minute mark and count down the last minute. Please wrap up your story by the 6 minute mark. We will not cut you off mid-sentence, but ask that you respect the timing.

How "adult" can my story be?

We try to keep our shows relatively PG-13 so while the occasional F-bomb is fine, we ask please no gratuitous foul language or graphic descriptions of a violent and/or sexual nature.

    What is the story format?

Your story should be true, personal, and in a narrative format (clear beginning, middle, and end) loosely based on the show's theme. No stand-up routines, no rants, no reading, no notes.

    How is the show streamed?

The storytellers will be in our private Zoom room with producers Claire and Regina. The show will stream live on YouTube which is how the audience will watch.
