Welcome to August Friday Night Live featuring Strings Beyond Description at the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette! Join us on Fri, Aug 30, 2024, at 7:00 PM for a night of live music and fun. Wine and beer will also be available for purchase from the Fowler House. The museum will also feature special "open late" hours from 6-7 PM leading up to the concert.Strings Beyond Description is a four-piece newgrass outfit from Northwest Indiana (guitar, mando, banjo, and bass) that performs original music primarily - with the occasional cover sprinkled in here and there ranging from Bill Monroe to My Morning Jacket and beyond. Don’t let the traditional instrumentation fool you - this band’s sound truly is beyond description. See you there!As always, admission is free, thanks to our sponsor, Duke Energy.
