About this event

Believe it or not, we here in Washington are now six months in to the pandemic response- and our lives are vastly different now than they used to be. Our working lives have gone largely online, and we are learning how to stay connected to one another even through the requirements of social distancing.

We may have started this pandemic thinking it was a sprint to the finish line, but as the months of increased COVID-19 cases have worn on, we now have come to accept that this is a marathon, and in fact, things may never "go back" to the way they used to be.

To help ports contend with the pandemic's course, we've invited Washington's State Health Officer and Chief Science Officer Dr. Kathy Lofy to speak on her understanding of what the science tells us the future holds.

We will also be hearing from Kira Mauseth, PhD in Clinical Psychology who splits her professional time between seeing patients at Snohomish Psychology Associates, teaching as a Senior Instructor at Seattle University and serving as a co-lead for the Behavioral Health Strike Team for the WA State Department of Health. She will be presenting on what we can expect in our communities' mental health, and ways we can support our workforce.

We are honored Dr. Lofy and Dr. Mauseth have agreed to share their time with ports, and we hope you'll be able to come hear more about the possible future course of the pandemic.
