An evening of wandering, listening, and interacting. Held over two nights, Audio Garden is a new kind of event with a focus on interactive sound art, where you can explore a variety of listening experiences, collected in one place. 
April 12: 8pm-11pm, with early entry for Arts Patrons at 7pm
April 13: 7pm-10pm, with early entry for Arts Patrons at 6pm

Come join us at the second-ever Audio Garden to experience over 20 interactive sound art installations plus live musical performances. It's an event focused on active listening and interaction, with minimal screens present. Explore each themed room at your own pace - push buttons, open doors, make music - and don't forget to just close your eyes and listen.
All proceeds go directly to event production and the contributing artists.

FAQs
What time should I arrive?
If you have an Arts Patron ticket, you can arrive anytime after 7pm on Friday or 6pm on Saturday. General admission starts at 8pm on Friday and 7pm on Saturday. Live performances will be happening throughout the evening, but other than that there is no set schedule.
Is this a kid-friendly event?
Children are welcome! Children under 6 may attend for free. The content of this event is generally PG. We invite play and exploration, but some pieces are more fragile than others, so adult supervision is highly recommended. If you have specific questions, feel free to use the "Contact" button below to get in touch.
How loud will it be? Do I need to bring ear protection?
Since this is a listening event, and we have many different sound pieces, we try to give each piece its space by keeping things on the quieter side. Some gallery spaces may get loud at times due to normal voices and chatter, but no more than you might experience at a bar or restaurant.
Is this like the Soundscapes exhibit at the MoMA?
It is like the MoMA exhibit in that each piece involves sound. It is not like the MoMA exhibit in that most of the pieces at Audio Garden are meant to be touched, worn, poked, sat on, opened, or interacted with in some way.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
There is no ID requirement for entry, but you will need an ID if you want to purchase alcohol.
Will food or drinks be available?
The Laundry cafe has a selection of wine and beer available for purchase. Proof of age is required. No outside food or drinks, please.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The Laundry is only a few blocks away from 24th St Mission Bart, and is served by multiple bus lines. There is limited street parking nearby.
What can I bring into the event?
Please leave large bulky items at home, as there will not be a coat check or bag check. If you think this might be an issue, please contact us and we will try to accommodate. If you would like to participate aurally in the spirit of the event, small chimes or bells are welcome!
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No need to print your tickets, you can give your name at the door, or show your tickets on your phone screen. 
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Yes, just contact us using the "Contact" button below and let us know who will be taking your ticket.
