The mission of Interference Archive isto explore the relationship between cultural production and social movements. This work manifests in an open stacks archival collection, publications, a study center, and public programs including as exhibitions, workshops, talks, and screenings, all of which encourage critical and creative engagement with the rich history of social movements.

Audio Interference, the podcast produced by Interference Archive, invites you to a social night of experimental audio making and learning. Together, we will aim to translate materials from the archive’s collection into an audio sphere. Attendees will be invited to record themselves reading from materials in the archive’s collection, which will be creatively stitched together into an audio collage. No experience with audio is necessary to participate. Interference Archive volunteers will facilitate attendees through all steps to record audio, and will demonstrate basic audio editing skills using Reaper. Attendees will come away with some basic audio skills, and new audiophile comrades!Interference Archive will provide equipment that will be used during the event.
