The Department of Performance, Theater, and Dance offers a full season of classic, contemporary, cutting-edge, and original works brought to life through rigorous research in the studios and laboratories of the Runnals Building. The performance season is a celebration of this research and of the student, staff, and faculty collaborations that make it possible. The final element is the audience. All Department of Performance, Theater, and Dance productions are free to patrons, though we do suggest reserving your free ticket through Eventbrite to guarantee seating. Colby College, Runnals building, Strider TheaterAudience, performed by Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre, is a new production of Vaclav Havel’s classic autobiographical play. Featuring live actors and traditional marionettes, the one-act play follows Ferdinand Vanek, a distinguished playwright forced to work in a brewery because his writings have been banned by the Communist regime. This production is presented in conjunction with Havel and Our Crisis: An International Conference of Scholars and Leaders at Colby.In accordance with Colby College&#x27;s current COVID policy, wearing a mask at this event is optional. Please note that this policy is subject to change.
