The medical student who is so nervous and excited that they barely take a breath. Sound familiar? While consecutive interpretation is the most common modality of interpretation in health care, there are instances where simultaneous interpretation is required. Keeping up with fast speakers is one of the most common challenges in this modality. In this session, we will analyze the challenges of simultaneously interpreting for different types of fast speakers.
