Join Atid in a fun and fulfilling group experience at OBKLA on Monday, May 19 from 6:30-8:30pm! You'll share the joy of cooking and the satisfaction of making a difference in the community.
OBKLA unites volunteers to cook and package meals for those facing hardship. These meals are then provided to social service organizations for distribution.
In the last year OBKLA held 335 cooking sessions each producing 300 meals, engaging more than 17,000 volunteers and feeding105,000 people in need.
Your ticket sale goes directly to providing meals for those in need.
What to Expect:
We will be preparing and packaging over 300 meals and 600 chocolate chip cookies from scratch under the guidance of our chefs. It’s a fun, hands-on session where everything is taught step-by-step.
- Please wear comfortable shoes — you’ll be on your feet and moving around for the full two hours.
- We’ll provide aprons, gloves, and hairnets at check-in. Feel free to wear a hat if you prefer to skip the hairnet.
- Expect a sweet treat — you’ll sample the cookies fresh from the oven, plus enjoy Red Vines and water to keep your energy up.
