sit. breathe. rest. be. at ease. a monthly gathering holding space for women of color to be at ease &amp; present in their minds, bodies, spirits and in the world using the healing modalities of meditation &amp; mindful conversations. each gathering will begin with a mindful conversation on a chosen topic and end with a meditation practice.february 9th theme/topic: authentic expression -- exploring authenicity and how we express ourselves and show up in the world. discussing the blockages &amp; barriers that limit us from fully expressing who we are. learning how to navgiate &#x27;code-switching&#x27; &amp; &#x27;shifting&#x27; and how these terms impact our mental well-being. --------at ease is curated for &amp; only self-identifying women of color. beginner friendly &amp; no experience necessary. this event is wheelchair accessible.free of charge, please RSVP on eventbrite as space is limited. --------i would like to acknowledge that this gathering is taking place on the unceded &amp; stolen traditional territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Watuth), Stó:lō, Shíshálh (Sechelt) and Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nations of the Coast Salish peoples. to gather, live, breathe, work and play on these lands are an honor &amp; blessing. --------dora kamau is the founder of bliss your heart, a self-care and wellness artist and a 200 hr meditation teacher &amp; mindfulness facilitator. unshaken &amp; impenetrable by the qualms of life, dora has used her story of pain and transmuted it to the multifaceted woman she is today. since 2017, she&#x27;s been creating &amp; holding meaningful space for women to connect &amp; build community in vancouver.bliss your heart is a women&#x27;s online and in-person platform rooted in self-love, self-care and mental health. byh is situated in vancouver, bc and creates safe and meaningful spaces for women to be seen, heard and understood through intentional conversations and connections. www.blissyourheart.ca
